Suggest An Effective Alternative For Cipro

My husband was just told that he has prostatitis and needs to take Cipro for 3 weeks. We went online and looked up this medicine and it looks like it has a lot of side effects. Is there anything safer he can do? He is already taking Tamsulosin .04mg & Dutasteride .05mg both once a day.
