Suggest Ayurvedic Treatment For Retinitis Pigmentosa
please what ayurvidic medicines are there for retinitis pigmentosa. sex:male, age: 56, race african. diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa many years ago. poor night vision now and loss of peripheral vision in both eyes. significant damage to the reina already done.

1. Retinitis pigmentosa is a disease affecting the rods and leads to gradual loss of peripheral vision and night vision thus prior to opting for any alternate system of medicine, have an appointment with Ophthalmologist regarding Eye Examination and Vision testing.
2. In any Retinal procedures, the earlier the intervention, better the visual prognosis. [since spectacles are not able to overcome the problem]
3. one has to check with blood sugar and blood pressure measurements to rule out diabetes and hypertension.
4. since it could be an anatomical defect thus medicines won't be effective and surgery will be necessary to improve vision.
5. The treatment options available to prevent vision loss is/are:
. using vitamin A supplements and
. use of carbonic anhydrase inhibitors in cases of macular edema.
The trials of using retinal chip implants are under research and may be shortly available for definitive treatment of retinitis pigmentosa.
