Suggest Cardiovascular Exercises While Having CHF And Left Atrial Dilation

I am 70 years of age, ht 5 10 wt 195lbs. Within the past year I was diagnosed with CHF and left atrial dilation. My latest ejection fraction was 59%. I occasionally become short of breath climbing stairs. What type of cardiovascular exercise would you recommend. I have a double bypass 17 years ago.

Hello,
It would be best for you to talk to your cardiologist and see if there is a cardiac rehabilitation facility in your area. You can go to them and they can supervise your exercise program, make sure that you are stable and help you figure out the best thing for you to do once you are no longer in the program.
