Suggest Cause And Remedy For Sore Throat And Cough

Can having a sore throat and then a bad cough with phelm cause one to have gout a week or so later? I noticed the last time I had a bad cough and the doctor gave me meds for my first attack of gout, the cough got better too. Is there some relationship between whatever is causing me to cough so bad and gout. I am allergic to everything and the coughing is worse when winter comes and I have to smell the heat.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain sore throat along with cough and phlegm is a sign of viral throat infection or an upper respiratory tract infection and is not related to gout in any way as gout is an inflammatory disease of joints..
You got relieved of cold by taking gout medication as you might be treated with anti-inflammatory medicines and multivitamins an it might have provided you some relief..
As you now you can take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Phenylepharine, mucolytics like Ambroxol and do steam inhalations..
You can take anti-allergics like Levocetrizine..
