Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic,

This pain which as per your information is moving from one joint to another should be evaluated for rheumatic pain to be ruled out ( migrating polyarthritis --most common between 5 and 15 yrs ).For this to be ruled out i advice ASLO titre to be done.

If it is not a transferring type of pain and if it is present in the muscles rather than the joints, then it may be a generallised myalgia for which a simple muscle relaxant can be taken.

U can continue the above treatment suggested by your doctor for about 2 weeks and if there is no relief , i advice some blood investigations.

CBC with ESR , RBS , S.URIC ACID , ASLO titre , RA factor
