Suggest Complications Of Elevated ALT Levels

40yrs old, i run 40-50miles per week, currently training for a marathon. Follow a strict diet 40%carbs/30%fats/30%protein. Body Fat analysis done was 5.5%. Had bloodwork done last week came back borderline anemic 12.3hemo and slightly elevated ALT 41. I had run 8miles hard before going for bloodtests, could this alter my results?

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM.
Yes strict diet and strenuous physical activity can alter your blood tests, please keep monitoring your liver enzymes, continuing with your current exercise routine might lead to more elevation of liver enzymes indicating liver stress, add some liver support supplements to your routine, drink more water, and take some days off training to help the liver repair, so far elevation is not alarming and will come back to normal once you finish your marathon but please keep a close eye on the liver enzymes.
hope that helped.
