Suggest Course Of Treatment For Fever For My 2-year-old Son
My two year old son developed a low grade fever of 100.8 I noticed he was warm around 10 pm it hasn t gone down or up, he s now asleep and as I went to check his temperature again I noticed he has the chill. Should I be concerned. He s had no prior symptoms
You should measure his temperature time by time. If he has temperature above 38°c you have to use paracetamol or ibuprofen if higher than that. I think if he is active, eats well and doesn't has any other symptom just measure his temperature. If temperature is high for more than 3 days you have to consult with Pediatrician because he may have any Infection and needs antibiotics.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
