General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my surgical experience, there should not be such large or painful swelling around anus after hemorrhoidectomy surgery.
* There can be possible infection leading to the collection, non healed perianal tissue mistaken as residual piles or others.
* It is recommended to immediately address the issue to the operating surgeon without any delay for prompt management to avoid the agony of pain which is your prime right.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
