Suggest Cure For Sickness In The Stomach

Hello. I am 38 years old. I always have a bloating feeling in my stomach. All long day air belching, distended stomack, seems like food does digest fast. It has been more than 9 month. It started with symptoms such as lump in my throat and if I ate small amount of food I felt fullness. Example that day I ate one slice of pizza and my stomach was full. Now I can eat more. Sometimes in the morning I feel nausea but it goes away after about 30 min with my air belching. I also had esophagram /upper GI series done. My result: minimal gastroesophageal reflux, no ulcers.ultrasound of the gallbladder: small amount of sludge. I had ameprozole 40 mg for 3 weeks but seems doesn't help. Please help me, thank you!!!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history and understood the concerns.

Since your problems started with lump in throat and progressed to bloating, nausea, belching relieving nausea this seems to be a case of GERD associated with stress or anxiety.
That is why the PPI did not help much.
You have already undergone the Esophagogram, Upper GI Endoscopy showing minimal GERD and ultrasonography the management is necessarily medical one.
I would advise you the following:
Continue the PPI.
Take antacids when on empty stomach.
Soft bland diet.
Control of stress and anxiety is a must to get best results, medications may be added if you talk to your Doctor about this.
Domperidone to see if this helps for nausea and avoiding reflux.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
