Suggest Diet Chart And Exercise Plan To Regulate Sugar Levels

Q I am diabetic and I Cannot control my sugar level, I my eating habits are off the chart at times always hungry, I just don t know what to prepare to eat , on the go most of the time, doing two jobs, no time for me to do the right thing, on med s , I am in denial I guess help me please

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
It is essential to do the following to keep blood glucose under check in diabetes mellitus.
1. Intake of drugs.
2. Intake of proper diet.
3. Adequate exercise.
4. Control of emotions.
Kindly take the medications as prescribed by your doctor.
Intake of proper diet in diabetes can be followed as:
a. Intake of complex carbohydrates, moderate amount of fat and more quantity of proteins and dietary fibres.
b. Avoid foods containing refined sugars or foods which would shoot the blood glucose immediately.
c. Take small quantity meals at frequent intervals.
Along with this you need to exercise everyday like going for a brisk walk in a day for about 40 minutes.
Control of emotions can be done by practice of meditation to keep the mind calm and under control.
