Cordylox 240 is a moderately strong blood pressure medication that is safe especially because it does not have withdrawal and gives smooth gentle decreases in the blood pressure. Losing weight, exercising can slightly improve blood pressure, but are far less likely to dramatically change blood pressure than it is for an initial blood pressure reading to be falsely elevated. A very gradual slight decrease in blood pressure medication is unlikely to cause serious immediate danger if the blood pressure medication doesn t have rebound/withdrawal effects (verapamil does not have these effects). BUT it is very likely that without the medication, the blood pressure returns to 130 and 90 for the upper and lower (systolic, diastolic) numbers respectively and would be an indication to resume treating it. but probably at a lower dose.
