Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes. I have had this crazy ailment since July 2014. I was placed on Lyrica which didn't help meat all. Subsequently my Rheumatologist place me on Cymbalta and realized that the 60mg dosage was not working well for me so, she has me taking 120mc daily. At a recent visit with her she says that 120mg's is too much and she wants to cut the dosage back to 90mg daily. I disagree with that assessment and I think I need a new Rheumatologist, what do you think?nd
Cymbalta is Duloxetine and is a SNRI drug. The drug should be used cautiously because high doses might precipitate serotonin syndrome. The dose of 60-120 mg is fine but increasing the dose further might increase the side effects. You can take opinion of one another doctor for that.
Thanks and Take care
