Suggest Dosage For Methotrexate, Zoloft, Toprol And Lisinopril

No history of HBP but recently BP averaging 142/75. Female age 74. Taking Toprol, 1 mg with no improvement. Should dosage be increased or change to different med like lisinopril? Current meds include methotrexate & plaqinil for RA, levothyroxin, Zoloft, nortriptylene. My doctor is ill so cannot get appt. Thanks for help.

Hi,

Your BP is reasonably controlled 142/75 mg (ideal BP is 130/80 mm hg ). Try Toprol-XL rather than increasing dose. If still BP is >140 mm hg, Lisinopril can be added.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
