Suggest Dosage Of Vizylac,metrogyl, Calpol,Oxidyne For Sore Throat
Hi Doc, I am male 37 years, i have sore throat with redness on tonsils and while patches under my tongue..I consulted my family doctor (MBBS with 25years + experinnce) he advises antibiotic Visylac Capsules (2wice a day), metrogyl Tab (3rice a day), Calpol (3rice a day), Oxidyne 1TSP (3rice a day)..he asked me to take the med for 3 days and it will be fine..today is the day 2, while i see some improvement the symptoms are still there.. should I continue the medicines for 3 more days or consult the doctor again... also some of my friends advised me to gargle with Betadine,,which I am doing...is it right..please advise .

Yes,you need to continue the antibiotics and other drugs for 3 more days and complete your treatment. If symptoms persist even after 3 days of drugs, you can visit your doctor. In case of symptoms like fever for more than 3 days, blood tests should be done to rule out bacterial infections. Betadine mouth gargling can be done twice or thrice a day which is also very effective. Brushing twice a day and drinking warm water will also reduce the symptoms.
