Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir/madam i can understand your concern
in type 1 diabetes you should clearly know about a concept called glycemic index.
Glycemic index means the density of carbohydrate present in that food.
so low glycemic index fruits can be taken 100 gms per day
Apples, Blackberries, Blueberries, Figs, Grapefruit, Grapes, Honeydew melon, Kiwi Orange, Papaya, Peaches, Pears ,Pineapple,, Plums, Raspberries, Strawberries Watermelon.
oral insulin can come to market in couple of years.
stem cell therapy is also showing promising results in phase 1 trials
