Suggest Further Action For Constipation In A Breastfed Baby
my baby is 1 month old and takes mothers milk regularly but since 6 days conspiation problem arised,every time i check diaper but no result,i feel that baby is very uncomfortable with bad stomach,tried giving him gripe water but no result,kindly suggest me?

Hi...babies of this age sometimes pass stools only once in 10 days. if the baby is feeding well, not vomiting and otherwise active no need to worry. At his age this should not be regarded as constipation and treated. if treated it might result in diarrhea causing weight loss in the baby. I suggest you wait till 10 days and if still not passing stools - give few ml of luke warm water and that will settle the issue.
