Suggest Management And Prognosis Of Progressive Osteoarthritis
Hi, My mother who is 59 has severely progressive osetoartheitis. She has had both knees and hips replaced, almost the entire length of her spine fused, and also sufferes dreadfully with her feet and ankles and regularly has facet injections. Recently her sholder has also become problematic and she gets pain in her ribs. She has recently been told hat her ribs are now also fusing. Could you tell me how this problem with her might progress, will it affect her breathing, heart etc, what tratemnt can be given other than the pain killers anti inflams etc she is already taking. Thanks.
HI Well come to HCM Osteoarthritis have unremarkable prognosis means patient can live up to the normal life span, but here in your mothers case the condition seems more worse, she had gone trough many surgeries have many other risk factor so here the prognosis would be questionable, take care.
