I just had my consulation today with my OB-gyne..My husband & i are planning to conceive a child, we're 2 years married now. i had my transviganal sonogram & the results was "enlarge ovaries with numerous varied sizedd cysts ranging from 5mm-10mm especially the right ovary consistent with polycystic ovary, no fluid free, normal central endometrial echo plate & normal sized uterus with homogeneous texture. I am 27, with 5'2" height at 46kilos.
My OB told me she will do some Cervical hydrotreatment for it was close & clogged she said..She will put some medicine inside my uterus...is this right? or should i seek 2nd opinion for it...i was so afraid of the treatment she's telling me.
Hello, The two problems are separate. With polycystic ovaries, its a hormonal problem, where there is ovulation problem, hence there may be difficulty in conception. You may need hormonal treatment for that if you dont concieve naturally. In the other regard, the only way to know if there is any blockage, is via HSG or hysteroscopy. These tests will show if there is any 'clogging' or blockages in the uterine cavity/tubes/cervix. There is something called hydrotherapy which is done to clear small blockages. But make sure the diagnosis is confirmed first.
