Suggest Means To Confirm An HIV Infection

I have just found out from a friend that 12 years ago I had sex with a stranger whilst I was drunk. I do not know the person so have no idea if he has HIV or not. I am married and bothy husband and I seem fine. What are the chances I have HIV? We live in Kuwait and I can't get a test as they tell youre employers and send you home

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Since 12 years you are alright without any symptom, then you are very much unlikely to have HIV.By this time some sorts of oral manifestation, skin manifestation or weight loss, weakness , fever etc. would have occur usually, in case, you are infected. But only the blood test is the correct tool to rule out HIV. Any rapid HIV test will eliminate the possibility of HIV in you.
