Suggest Medical Treatment For Vomiting Despite Gastric Pacemaker For Gastroparesis

My granddaughter, 26 years old, has had diabetes for 11 years. She has gastroparesis and about 6 years ago had a gastric pacemaker installed. She was fine up until now when she once again began vomiting excessively. Dr.s deduced that perhaps the battery needed replacement and about 2 months ago, this was done. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Second opinion is always the way out there for such cases, if it is not the terminal condition then it is most advisable to have second opinion at least symptoms relief may helps a lot to patient more over something new may comes up which could change the prognosis from bad one to good one, not just this but you can also go for third opinion, but one can not run with the symptoms of vomiting and loss of weight.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
