Suggest Medication For UTI Usually Noticed After Intercourse
Iam, a 23 year old female about 5 ft and 100 pounds. I am having recurring Urinary Tract Infections whenever I have sex, I take every precaution necessary ( peeing before having sex, peeing right after sex, driking vitamin C) it seems to happen whether I use a condom or not. I had a urine culture done and it came out fine and mi partner also had a sperm culture done and there was no bacteria or anything on his.
Everytime I get this I take a full course of Cypro antibiotics 500mg, however these give me terrible stomach problems. Please help me. I am currently having anither UTI.
Hi, After going though your history, two points need clarification-whether you have a retroverted uterus which exposes the urethra more than an anteverted uterus and hence causes more infections and whether you have vesico-urethral reflux, which can be detected by a voiding cysto-urethrogram. Please see a nephrologist to rule out the cause for such recurrent infections. Please do not douche the genital region and do not use strong soap solutions. If you are in the habit of using tampons, please avoid them. Hope this helps.
