Suggest Medication For A Painful Boil On The Leg

Yes I'm 46 years old and every 2 or 3 years a large boil we develop and burst under my right leg. Very painful, I went to a doctor about this 10 or 12 years ago and he told e if it comes back he has a antibiotic for it he wouldn't give me it at the time(know reason?). It was a HMO doped him and it later. Do you know the name of the anti biotic I'm looking for?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand from your history that you have developed a boil or furuncle on your leg.
You may benefit from taking a course of antibiotic like Cloxacillin or Cephalexin for 5 days orally.
You can also apply an antibiotic cream containing 2 % Mupirocin or 1 % Fucidic acid.
You can also do some hot fomentation to reduce the swelling and the pain.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
