Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm 14, very active, tall for my age (5'8.5"), 140 pounds. Sometimes when I eat greasy things like a fried egg, or sometimes even slightly greasy things like meat, I get this bothersome time feeling in my left back area and the area under my heart. What does this mean?
I studied your case and it seems like you are having heartburn. You should visit your GP for more detailed examination or getting appropriate medication. But untill then here are some common advices for heartburn: Quit smoking if you smoke because smoking irritates the digestive system and can worsen symptoms of heartburn and GERD Eat smaller meals because people who eat more smaller meals each day rather than three large ones may find their heartburn symptoms either improve or go away altogether The evening meal should be at least three hours before going to bed Avoid food triggers - some foods and drinks may trigger heartburn in some patients. Typical ones include coffee, alcohol, tomatoes, fatty or spicy foods, and chocolate. Identify your triggers and avoid them. Your bed - if you raise the head end of your bed, your symptoms may improve.
I hope this answer was helpful to you.
