Suggest Medication For Bladder Irritation

I have had bladder irritation and frequency for years and it is getting worse. No infection. Just burning all the time - no pain. I am now getting up at night several times and am suffering sleep deprivation. I am taking these drugs: Benicar, Topral, Prempro. Could either be causing the inflammation?

Hello
Thanks for query.
You have not mentioned your age in your query .
Based on the medications that you are taking for Hypertension and Prempro I think your urinary problems are mostly due to what is called as Post Menopausal Urethral Stenosis.

After menopause there is generalized atrophy of genital organs that involves female urethra too resulting in to narrowing of urethral passage (Post Menopausal Uretral Stenosis)This narroed urethra causes incomplet emptying of bladder and significant amount of urine remains in bladder .This stagnated urine is the reason for increased frequency of urination and bladder irritation.

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical evaluation .He may do endoscopic calibration of Urethra which will help to empty the bladder completely .

You have to maintain the passage wide open by doing self intermittent catheterization at home every day for 4-6 months .

This will resolve your issue for forever.
