my mother in law is 65 years old and has slight watery blood in her urine. There is no pain anywhere at all. She is diabetic and has high blood pressure. We thought it was a urine infection and the doctor prescribed some antibitics however the blood is still there can you help?
Painless hematuria (blood in urine) is most commonly seen in carcinoma of urinary bladder or chronic cystitis (chronic infection of urinary bladder).
To rule out any of the above you can go for; USG abdomen and pelvis, urine routine and microscopy. Go for blood test called renal function test to rule out renal failure.
Don't worry all will be alright.
Hope this will help you.
Thank you
