Suggest Medication For Bruise On The Right Thigh

I bumped my right thigh into the doorway of my kitchen while walking out. Normally it would get bruised...black & blue. Instead it feels lumpy...like 2 little swollen bums. I m only concerned because I had a heart attack 3 weeks ago & had 2 stents put in my LAD...so I m on Effient, Lipitor & Lisinapril.

Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

Yes the bruise usually resolves on its own, so there is usually no problem with that. I think the medicines you are on may have caused the blood to come out in a larger quantity from the ruptured vessels.

Therefore there will be a bigger bruise and may be lumpy due to collection of the blood.

Ideally, you need to dress it daily with a hygroscopic solution. And there should be an addition of an antibiotic cause the lump, medically termed as hematoma, may be a potential source of infection

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further. Best of luck.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.
