In children viral infections are very common. They are often associated with wheezing and it does not necessarily mean asthma. Inhalers are likely to be helpful in such a situation. Honey is good and can be given. Also give the child steam inhalation. Water in the form of vapour would reach deep into the lungs and help in diluting the cough and give the child relief.
