Hi, I m a 53 year old female with a history of SBO with adhesions. Lately I have felt very ill for about 4 months. I have lost 42 pounds, my weight just continues to drop. I suffered from constipation know I have diarreha anything I put in my mouth will go right through within 30 mintues. I don t have any insurance so I can not go to the doctors. All my joints hurt especially my hips, I m in constant pain. I have no psych diagnosis, just sick. Lately I have stopped taking daily showers because the water hurts my skin. Any suggestions. I think I m dying.
Please visit ER. Otherwise you may not survive it. Diarrhea can be a symptom of partial bowels obstruction. Especially that you have had obstruction before. Please note that surgical removal of adhesions creates new adhesions. So you may have it again. Without diagnostics and surgery you may dehydrate to the point where you kidney will fail. This is life threatening. Joints pain and diarrhea can also indicate Crohns disease which can also give diarrhea and bowels obstruction. So colonoscopy at your case is strongly advisable.
Please do not wait with it.
Hope this will help. Regards.
