Suggest Medication For Dry Cough

sir my mother aged 53years suffering from dry cough since 3months she is diabetic & having bp ,cough started when she is started tablet ramstar-h for bp,she used that tablet for 2 months after that she changed tablet but there is no change, she diagonised with chest x ray & Aabsoulete esnophilis count were also normal or any other diagnasis should be done kindly tell

Thank you for your question on HCM. In my opinion ramistar h is having ramipril and hydrochlorthiazide. Ramipril being an ACE inhibitor some times cause dry cough as side effect due its mechanism of action. So one possibility is ramipril induced cough. Since your chest x ray is normal pulmonary causes can be ruled out. You mother is having DM and HT so cough may be due to early heart failure.
