Suggest Medication For Irregular Periods

Hello .This month I had an extremely strange period, it started very light brown then overnight I had a heavy bleed which went on into the day, then the next day it went quite light (no pad needed) and only brown when wiping the last 2 days. I usually have extemely regular periods (every 30 days, lasts 5 days, starts heavy and becomes light, not usually brown but when it has its only been this case for a couple hours). And unsure if it s related but yesterday I woke up and thought I d injured my shoulder blade. I went to the physio and he informed me I had done something to the muscle between my ribs. On day 2 and I m still in pain from it.Any ideas?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. In the current scenario, the possibilities are a chemical pregnancy and a transient hormone imbalance. To exclude/confirm a chemical pregnancy, you should go for an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres. If negative, this abnormal menstruation is due to hormone imbalance. This can be due to sudden weight changes, stress, infections, use of certain medications, cysts of the ovary etc. The injury to the muscle is unrelated; it is probably a spasm or a small tear which needs to be treated by an orthopedic. Please see a specialist for further suggestions. Take care.
