Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I think i might have add. I have so much trouble focusing in school and homework. My teachers and my parents dont relize this thought because i am not hyper, just cant focus. From Jr. High to Jr. Year all i can remember is that i havent really been trying in school. I do the bear minimum just to get by. Also the longest i have EVER studied for something was 1 hour for a history final....i cant stay focused any longer. For my homework now, i cant concentrate long enough to do it after school, so im always rushing during school to finish the homework for the next class. So when i told my mom about it and that i might have add, she flipped out....she got so mad that i brought that up and she just said NO ....now i dont know what to do.....this is my jr year and college is right around the corner. If i cant focus in school and concentrate on my homework soon, im going to be in really bad shape for future years
If you have ADHD only, you can use medication for concentration. However, it would be better to avoid medications. You can do yoga and breathing exercises. It will gradually improve your concentration.
