Suggest Medication For Loose Motions And Stomach Ache

my baby girl is 2 yrs 4 months old. she is having loose motions and has passed 4-5 motions. the stools are smelly and loose but not watery yet. she is complaining of stomach ache and is refusing food. Can I give her metrogyl suspension. her weight is 10kgs. how much and how long should it be given?

I really appreciate your concern for your baby and I would like to say that it could be case of intestinal infection although passing of stool three to four time is normal one, but here it is more than four and have other associated symptoms too.
First thing is to take care for dehydration, and fever, in children symptoms become serious very rapidly so it is advisable to keep your eye open, close observation is must.
Anti-biotic can be tried like metronidazole, along with that lyophilized lactobacillus can be tried.
If this is the mild or moderate type of symptoms then it may be self limiting without dehydration it is nothing to worry, most of the time it is the self limiting, to see a pediatrician in case of persistence symptoms is advisable, hope this information helps.
