Suggest Medication For Mild Cough

Hello Dr. Santosh,

My dauther is 4 years old and started with mild calf, we started with Chericof and the cough did not reduce, we took her to the near by doctor and prescribed Ascoril, but my daughter did not like Ascoril. Shall I continue giving Chericof. Please adivise.

HI cough medication depends on the cause -dry.productive nature and any associated cold, fever. You can give her steam inhalation to get relief and continue with syrup based on the type of cough
