Suggest Medication For Nausea Caused By Lipitor Intake
I don t do well with meds. I mean total adverse reaction. cardiologist insistant I take Lipitor 80mg regardless of my history with meds. I ended up in the er (straight from the dr s office) with nausea/vomiting/diarrhea/rlq pain, urine the color of brewed tea. I thought I was in renal failure. I was dehydrated and given fluids. Zofran didn t work so they switched to Phenergan and Dilaudid. is there a better med or I just have to process of eliminate to see which ones I can take
In acute episode of nausea, you require intravenous medications as PPI, anti emetic and other supportive care. Once the acute phase is controlled, you can well tolerate domperidone, pantoprazole, ondancetron with or without antacid suspensions containing oxetacaine and simethicone according to the clinician choice.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Purva Patel
