Suggest Medication For Pain After Total Hip Replacement

I had a total hip replacement on 8/4 and we are having problems finding a pain reliever that doesn t make me itch or effect my concentration. Have tried Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen 10-325, Narproxen 500, (some pain relieve but itching badly) Tramadol (no effect). Large doses of Tylenol work better but concerned about my liver (take 5 to 6 over 24 hours). My question: What else is there for me ?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
First we have to search for the cause of pain so that we can treat the cause and get permanent relief. You have tried all painkillers and still the pain is not relieved. First I would like to know why total hop was replaced? If it was for arthritis you should get complete relief of pain. So I would recommend crawly of operated hip with femur anteroposterior and lateral views to look for alignment of components and their fixation in bone. So visit radiology center nearby you and get it done. You need to take a visit ro your operating surgeon with Xray report.
