Suggest Medication For Pain In Neck And Right Shoulder

I was involved in a mva in April of this year. As a result, I have been going to therapy for appr. 6mths for neck, right shoulder and arm pain. About 2mths ago my right elbow started popping almost every time I moved it...afraid to stretch arm all the way out because it feels as if something is pulling...right thumb to midarm gets numb/tingling...also swelling of arm.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a pulled muscle. I suggest using a muscle relaxant such as Baclofen three times a day. I also suggest using magnesium supplements for muscle relaxation. I also recommend to do an X-ray of the elbow to exclude a fracture.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
