Hi,

It is a common mistake to discontinue cream-treatment in ringworm as soon as the skin-changes disappear, because while the skin looks healthy there is often fungal activity in it if you stop too soon. I advise my patients to continue the cream-treatment for 10 days after the skin has normalized.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Maria Riechel-Sarup, General & Family Physician
