Hi,

It is not recommended to give your child any medication without consulting a pediatrician. However, in general, for a runny nose with light yellowish discharge in a toddler, over-the-counter saline nasal drops can help loosen the mucus and make it easier to clear the nose. You can also use a bulb syringe to suction out the mucus from your child's nose.

If your child's symptoms persist or worsen, you should consult a pediatrician who can examine your child and determine if any other medications are needed. Depending on the underlying cause of the runny nose, a pediatrician may recommend antihistamines or other medications to help alleviate your child's symptoms.

It's important to note that dosages for medication can vary depending on a child's weight and age, so it's important to consult a pediatrician before giving any medication to your child.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
