Suggest Medication For Swelling And Bruise Of The Right Eye

Hello,

Two weeks ago I was trying to catch a softball pop-up, and missed. Unfortunately I caught the ball right under my eyebrow. It swelled to the size of a plum immediately. I put ice on it right away. It took days for the swelling to go down, but now I have this hard lump the size of an almond there. It is hard and I can move it around. Is this something I should be concerned with? I went to an opthamologist, and she checked my actual eye, and didn't see anything out of the norm. She felt the lump, and didn't seem too concerned about it and moved on to running tests on my eye, but I don't know if she specializes in accessing eye bones, eye fractures, etc? Should I see an actual eye surgeon for this? I still have a little bit of red eye and light bruising that is dissipating quite a bit. The swelling is all gone and the bruising is almost completely gone. Is it normal for this lump to still be here where I got hit after 2 weeks?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having swelling, bruise and lump under right eyebrow following injury.
This is because of hematoma as a result of impact of injury resulting in collection of blood in the layers of skin.
The lump is because of hematoma and it will decrease slowly over 1-2 weeks after the bruise and swelling is reduced.
Hence no need to worry regarding lump. Applying cold compression will help in early regression.

Thank you
