Suggest Medication For Swollen And Sore Jawline

My jawline is swollen near my right ear hard to open and close my mouth, along with chewing, I can t even feel the cold pack I have on it. I do not have wisdom teeth and it has only really started since I woke up. Feels like my jaw has popped so much that it is sore. Pulled muscle? Just took Ibuprofen to see if that will calm it later, Some small home to dos that could help would be nice, I don t care to go to the doctors if it something that can be remedied from home. Please and thank you so much.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
You have got inflammation of parotid gland commonly seen with mumps and usually bilateral. I would advise ultrasound of local part to confirm diagnosis and rule out other possibilities. Treatment is rest to gland. Avoid solid foods for a week and take foods which can be swallowed without chewing like fruit juices. Take tab augmentin 625 mg thrice a day for 5 days . Take tab diclofenac plus serratiopeptodase combination twice a day for pain relief. It will take time but you will be fine within a week.
