HI
Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.

See , treatment for Polycystic Ovarian syndrome is Metformin and believe me it won't cause weight gain . I insist you to start this medication from today itself . ( Ask your doctor for prescription) Once treatment your Polycystic Ovarian syndrome is regularised it will contribute to weight loss to some extent.

Also I have noticed many patients with Polycystic Ovarian syndrome having Insulin resistance or diabetes or Hypothyroidism any of which can cause Weight gain . So I advise you to get evaluated for these conditions by getting these tests done .

Serum TSH , Fasting Insulin levels and OGTT.

Your hair loss can also be due to this Hypothyroidism. So get the advised tests done and revert back with reports.

Correction of these conditions will result in weight loss and your hair loss also will stop.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
