Suggest Medication To Abort The Pregnancy As Cytotec Didn't Work
i am 43 y.old weights 68 kilos 5'5" tall. i'm on my 7 weeks pregnancy. last night at 9pm i took 2 cytotec orally and 2 vaginally, till now there is no effect almost 12 hours has passed. i only have little spots. how long will i wait for it to take effect? what should i do next. help pls... thanks.

I do not know the strength of Cytotec tablets that you took, but in the U.S. the standard dosing recommended for medical termination using Cytotec, or misoprostil (reference:http://www.misoprostol.org/dosage-guidelines/) is 800 mcg in the vagina every three to four hours with a maximum of three doses. Most kits sold with Misoprostil have 200 mcg in each tablet- you should check the dose on the kit you purchased. The medication works better when inserted in the vagina rather than taken orally.
So I suggest you get more medication and insert it in your vagina at the recommended dosage, and if three doses of the medication do not produce any effects, you may need to present to a physician for evaluation for a surgical termination or for precription of Mifepristone if it is available in your area.
