Hi! I came down with a sore throat about ten days ago -- which predictably led to 4 or 5 days of coughing up and blowing out a seemingly never-ending supply of neon green sputum, and basically feeling like crap. It got so bad, I asked my GP to phone in some doxycycline (I was out of state at a conference). It seemed to be getting better as soon as I got on the anti-biotic, so I figured it would run its course and I d be feeling better within a week (I go through this cycle once every other year or so). But this time -- even after a full course of antibiotics and some better rest back at home -- I m still hacking and coughing up yellow-greenish sputum, my headache has gotten worse, and I feel vaguely sick to my stomach most of the time. Not to mention that I still basically feel like CRAP -- actually WORSE than I did 3 or 4 days ago. I m wondering if I ve got something more serious than my standard every-other-year upper respiratory infection?
