I have a purple blister outside of my anus its been there for a few days and its starting to scare me a little. I had one before a few months ago and it went away by itself but ive been doing a lot of reading on this and it scares me. I dont have health insureance so i cant see a doctor. My question is what could it be and how do i get rid of it and the pain.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
Hi,
The blister may be due to many reasons. Is the blister painful or filled with serous fluid or blood/pus. Do you have any regional lymph node swelling. Is the present one in the same place as of previous one. Do you have any other symptoms associated with this.
Kindly explain for discussion on its management. For now clean with antiseptics like povodine iodine and keep area dry and clean. Don't open or handle it.
Hope this helps you.
Regards
