Suggest Medications For Bronchitis

5 weeks ago I had bronchitis/flu I took 2 courses of antibiotics and the cough cleared up but since then I have been getting a tight chest, difficulty breathing, a sore throat (at times ) and sometimes a flu feeling. I have had a chest x ray which was clear. I have also tried an inhaler which hasn't helped much. I also do inhalations which help a little . What do you suggest

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of bronchitis is more in your case. Bronchitis is common after viral upper respiratory tract infection (flu).
And your symptoms are classical of bronchitis.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease.
And treatment of bronchitis is based on severity.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid.
So better not to take inhalers without prescription of doctor.
You may also need antihistamine, mucolytic and expectorant drugs.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
