Dear Murali, Welcome to HCM, Your SGPT and SGOT dont need any treatment right now. Keep checking your LFT (Liver Function Test) once in 6 months and treatment specific for elevated liver enzymes is needed only when they elevate 2.5times the normal value. Regarding Diabetes treatment I am not sure why you are on insulin. If you are a Type 2 diabetic patient addition of sulphonylurea tablets will reduce the need for insulin. It depends on the duration of diabetes and your current sugar levels. Please send full details of your treatment including height, weight, age, duration of diabetes and why exactly you are on insulin. You can also get an ultrasound abdomen done to rule out Fatty liver which may rarely cause elevation of liver enzymes in a diabetic. Hope i have answered your query Dr.Riyaz Sheriff
