Suggest Medications For Fever With Fatigue In Elderly Chronic Pain Patients

Hello , My name is Joyce and I have been ill now for approx. 3 weeks with symptoms of Body aches ,low grade fever, cough, some shortness of breath , extreme fatigue . I cannot seem to get better . I am 49 years old and also have been a chronic pain patient due to an automobile accident since Jan 2010 . What could be wrong ? I hate Hospitals and having to go to the Dr .Thank you ...

Hello and thank you for your question. From the symptoms that you mention it sounds like you may have an infection causing the cough, shortness of breath and fatigue. I could be influenza, bronchitis or pneumonia. It would be a very good idea for you to see a doctor. Sometimes these infections are caused by a virus and go away on their own. If that is the case you are usually better in about a week. Because this has been going on for 3 weeks I definitely suggest that you be seen as soon as possible.
