Suggest Methods To Alleviate Pain In The Testicles
My son has had epididimytis (sp) and currently has cysts in his testicles, they are very painful. He had one removed when he was 15 when the Dr. looked to make sure no torsion was happening. He is now 21 and the pain comes and goes but seems to be staying around longer. He wants to have a family in the future but not soon so another surgery could jeapordize that. Do you know of anything that will help him with the pain? Physical Therapy? Yoga? Seems when he lifts items or is physically active his pain increases.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your query about your son. Noted that he was operated when was 15 years old for suspected torsion and the cyst was removed. He is 21 now and have developed the pain and probably is suffering from epididymitis and have cysts. He has to have a family, hence worried: I would advise you the following: Take him to the Urologist or a General Surgeon so that a proper clinical evaluation can be done. Get an ultrasonography and color doppler examination of the scrotum and abdomen for urogenital system. MRI give still far better diagnosis. Since your son still have to have children, surgery may not be advised unless there is blockage or so. Ask him to get semen analysis to help for knowing the sperm count.
