Hi, I was advise by my ob to undergo an transvaginal utz. as i was trying to conceive. May you please help to understand as of what the result mean. Uterus: 6.1 x 3.3 x 3.7cm retroverted Cervix: 2.3 x 2.1 x 2.0cm w/o nabothian cyst Endometrium: 1.35cm Right Ovary: 2.3 x 2.0 x 1.5cm anterior Left Ovary: 3.2 x 1.8 x1.8cm lateral others: no free fluid in the cul-de-sac Remarks: The Uterus is retroverted with regular contour and homogeneous myometrium. There are no myometrial masses seen. The Cervix is closed and homogeneous. The Endometrium is thick and hyperechoic with intact endomyometrial interface. The Right Ovary contains 8-10 subcapsular follicles measuring less than 1cm in diameter with dense stroma. The Left Ovary contains a large follicle measuring 1.6 x 1.4 x 1.3cm There are no adnexal masses seen. There is no fluid in the cul-de-sac. Impression: Normal-sized retroverted uterus with thick & intact endometrium Right Ovary Polycystic. Left Ovary with dominant follicle. No adnexal masses seen in this scan.
