Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My name is Elda Boardway I am 65 yrs old. I am a white female. About 10yrs ago I was diagnosed with having Very Severe Osteoarthritis everywhere from my neck on down. I went through mri's and one test after another. I have Degenerative Disc Dease and Scoliois, Fibromialgia, I use a cane to walk but now I am having a great deal of pain when I walk which I can't stand to do anymore now. Standing is out of the question. I have a lot of Chronic pain from my neck and head on down. Everything is just getting worse all the time. The pain is also getting worse as well. I was on Percocet 325 mg and was taking 1-2 tabs every 4-6 hrs as needed. Well just recently the dr or I should say the nurse practioner decided to wean me off of them. They were really so helpful in stopping my pain which is very extreme. I did not want to be taken off of a med when it was really helping me that much, I was able to living somewhat as a human being again. I am now taking Tramadol 50 mgs 2 tabs every 4 hrs. They help some what but they just aren't that great in really stopping this awful pain. What can you suggest to me. I am on Medicare complet. I need just to be back on the percocet again. to take care of this horrible pain.People like me that are in actual pain and suffering is just not good. I am not an addict at all, I have real pain and need a serioius pain medication.
